What is Kada Beach?

Kada Beach is the northernmost beach in Wakayama Prefecture. The view of Tomogashima Island in front of the beach is beautiful, and the sunset view has been selected as one of the "100 best sunsets in Japan".

The shallow waters make the waves calm, and families often come to Kada Beach to enjoy playing on the shore.

It is also nice that the beach is equipped with hot showers and changing rooms (300 yen for adults and 200 yen for children). Banana boats are also available during the summer season.

Enjoy BBQ at Kada Beach

Kada Beach has a dedicated barbecue area, and is the only place in Wakayama Prefecture where BBQ can be enjoyed on the beach.

A full range of rental equipment is available for BBQs, including barbecue stoves, tarp-type tents, parasols, and tables. Reservations are not required if you do not use the rental equipment.

Enjoy Glamping at Kada Beach

Located at Kada Beach, "resora RAINBOW" is one of the few facilities in Japan where you can enjoy beach glamping. It opened in 2017 as a "beach glamping facility that combines a beach with overnight accommodations.

Glamping rooms can accommodate up to 5 people. The rooms are equipped with two double beds, and air beds are available for rent if more than five people wish to stay. You will surely be able to refresh your body and mind in an open, private space while listening to the sound of the waves.

Awashima Shrine

Awashima Shrine is dedicated to Sunahikono-no-mikoto, the god of medicine. It is said to be beneficial for women's recovery from illness, safe delivery, and childbirth.

The large number of hina dolls in the hall of worship is a sight unique to Awashima Shrine, which is famous for the "Hina-nagashi" ritual, in which hina dolls are floated on a white wooden boat to the sea in Kada on March 3 every year.

Kada Awashima Onsen Osaka-ya Hihina-no-yu

Kada Awashima Onsen Osaka-ya Hihina-no-Yu, built along the coast with beautiful sunsets, is a popular hot spring resort for women.

The restaurant boasts excellent cuisine served in a private room or in a dining room with a huge fish pond. On the top floor, there is an open-air bath and an indoor bath with natural hot spring water, and you will be healed by the magnificent view. Kada Terrace is a seafood hamayaki restaurant produced by the Seaside Hotel Kada Kaigetsu, a long-established ryokan in Kada Onsen. You can enjoy BBQ on the seaside terrace overlooking from Tomogashima to Awaji Island in the Kitan Straits.

You can also use the open-air bath and large public bath with mellow and beautiful spring water.
