Lots of gourmet food! Let’s go out to Toga-Mikita Station!
There are many hidden gourmet restaurants around Toga-Mikita Station, which is only 11 minutes by train from Nakamozu Station, home to Osaka's only World Heritage Site! It takes about 30 minutes by train even from Namba, so it is recommended for those who want to go out to find a different townscape from the city. In this issue, we will introduce 4 fashionable gourmet restaurants.
Located a 16-minute walk from Toga-Mikita Station on the Semboku Rapid Railway, "PISOLA Sakai Senboku Shop" is a family restaurant with locations mainly in Osaka. Enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in a space filled with a tropical atmosphere.
The interior of the restaurant exudes a resort hotel-like atmosphere, allowing you to forget the hustle and bustle of daily life and savor your meal at a leisurely pace. With spacious table seats, as well as private rooms and sofa seats, the restaurant can accommodate various occasions.
In addition to popular regular menu items, there are also seasonal limited-time menu items to enjoy.
Located approximately 12 minutes on foot from the Toga-Mikita Station on the Semboku Rapid Railway, "Café JIKKA" is a hidden gem of a cafe. Its presence, with dimly lit lights welcoming you on your way home, evokes a sense of comfort and relief.
Inside the cafe, you'll find a warm ambiance dominated by brown tones. The owner's kind intention of creating a gathering place for locals of all ages, where they can relax as if they were returning to their own homes, is deeply infused into the atmosphere.
Café JIKKA prides itself on serving "good for the body" dishes. The rice used is pesticide-free rice grown at the owner's family home, and the vegetables are locally sourced. Even the sauces and curries are handmade from scratch, using carefully selected spices. The red bean paste and walnuts used in their desserts are also meticulously cooked from scratch, starting from the raw ingredients.
In addition to the delightful cuisine, Café JIKKA also offers a selection of handcrafted products for sale, including tableware and handmade accessories, personally procured by the owner. It's a pleasure to browse through these handcrafted items while waiting for your meal.
Located about a 15-minute walk from Toga-Mikita Station on the Semboku Rapid Railway, "En dehors" is a specialty shop for bottled cheese and jams run by a ballet enthusiast. The cute packaging design and elegant taste are popular among customers.
The shop is housed in a white Western-style building with a well-maintained garden that resembles a European countryside landscape. Inside, ballet-inspired interior decor is displayed, making you feel as if you have wandered into a storybook world.
Many of En dehors's flavors are inspired by ballet performances, and each label features a stylish design with a different silhouette of a ballet dancer, making it a fashionable addition to your kitchen or table.
Each cheese and jam is handmade in the shop without using preservatives, thickeners, coloring agents, flavorings, or antioxidants, making them gentle on the body and low in calories.
